Composition

Each ml contains:

  • Lincomycin hydrochloride .............................. 50 mg

  • Spectinomycin sulphate ............................... 100 mg

  • Excipients .......................................................... q.s. to 1 ml


Pharmacological Class

Combination antibiotic:

  • Lincosamide (Lincomycin)

  • Aminocyclitol (Spectinomycin)


Indications

SPECTOLIN® Injection is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by lincomycin- and/or spectinomycin-sensitive organisms in animals, including:

  • Respiratory tract infections
    (Mycoplasma spp., Pasteurella spp., Mannheimia spp.)

  • Gastrointestinal infections
    (E. coli, Salmonella spp.)

  • Enteritis and diarrhea of bacterial origin

  • Septicemia

  • Skin and soft tissue infections

  • Mycoplasmal infections, particularly in young animals

The combination provides broad-spectrum coverage, especially effective against Mycoplasma and mixed Gram-positive/Gram-negative infections.


Dosage and Administration

Routes: Intramuscular (IM) or Subcutaneous (SC)

Recommended dosage:

  • Cattle, Camels, Horses:
    1 ml per 10 kg body weight
    Once daily for 3–5 consecutive days

  • Sheep & Goats:
    1 ml per 10–15 kg body weight
    Once daily for 3–5 days

  • Dogs:
    0.5–1 ml per 5 kg body weight
    Once daily for 3–5 days

Dosage and duration may be adjusted according to severity of infection and veterinary judgment.


Target Species

Cattle, camels, horses, sheep, goats, and dogs


Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to lincomycin, spectinomycin, or related antibiotics

  • Do not use in horses via oral route (injectable use only)

  • Do not use in animals with severe hepatic dysfunction unless advised by a veterinarian


Precautions

  • For veterinary use only

  • Use under veterinary supervision

  • Do not administer intravenously

  • Use sterile injection technique

  • Do not mix with other injectable products in the same syringe

  • Observe animals for adverse reactions

  • Keep out of reach of children


Withdrawal Period

(Subject to national regulatory approval)

  • Meat: Typically 7–14 days

  • Milk: Typically 3–5 days
    (Confirm exact withdrawal periods according to local regulations)


Storage

  • Store below 25°C

  • Protect from light

  • Do not freeze

  • Keep container tightly closed
