PENOMYCIN

COMPOSITION

Each mL contains:

• Procaine Penicillin ........................................ 200 mg

• Dihydrostreptomycin Sulphate ................. 250 mg

• Excipients .................................................. q.s. to 1 mL

INDICATIONS

This product is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to penicillin and dihydrostreptomycin, including:

• Respiratory tract infections

• Gastrointestinal infections

• Urogenital tract infections

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Mastitis

• Septicemia

• Wound and post-surgical infections

• Secondary bacterial infections

Effective against susceptible Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Corynebacterium spp., Pasteurella spp., and Escherichia coli.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

• Route: Intramuscular injection (IM)

Recommended dose:

• 1 mL per 20 kg body weight, once daily

Duration of treatment:

• 3–5 consecutive days, or as directed by the attending veterinarian.

Shake well before use. Do not administer intravenously.
