Composition

Each ml contains:

  • Moxidectin ................................................ 10 mg

  • Excipients ........................................................ q.s. to 1 ml


Pharmacological Class

Endectocide – Macrocyclic lactone (Milbemycin group)


Indications

MOXIDECT® Injection is indicated for the treatment and control of internal and external parasites caused by moxidectin-sensitive organisms in animals, including:

Gastrointestinal Nematodes

  • Haemonchus spp.

  • Ostertagia spp.

  • Trichostrongylus spp.

  • Cooperia spp.

  • Oesophagostomum spp.

  • Bunostomum spp.

Lungworms

  • Dictyocaulus spp.

External Parasites

  • Mange mites

  • Lice

  • Other susceptible ectoparasites

MOXIDECT® provides long-acting parasite control due to the high lipophilicity of moxidectin.


Dosage and Administration

Route: Subcutaneous (SC) injection

Recommended dosage:

  • 0.2 mg moxidectin per kg body weight, equivalent to:
    1 ml per 50 kg body weight

Administration:

  • Administer as a single subcutaneous injection

  • Inject into the neck or shoulder region

  • Treatment intervals should be based on parasite epidemiology and veterinary advice


Target Species

Cattle, sheep, goats, and camels
(Use in other species only under veterinary supervision)


Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to moxidectin or other macrocyclic lactones

  • Do not use in animals intended for human consumption except as permitted by local regulations


Precautions

  • For veterinary use only

  • Use under veterinary supervision

  • Do not administer intravenously or intramuscularly

  • Avoid overdosing

  • Use sterile injection technique

  • Keep out of reach of children


Withdrawal Period

(Subject to national regulatory approval)

  • Meat: As per local regulations

  • Milk: May be nil or restricted depending on species and jurisdiction


Storage

  • Store below 30°C

  • Protect from light

  • Do not freeze

  • Keep container tightly closed
