Composition

Each ml contains:

• Marbofloxacin ........................................ 100 mg

• Excipients ...................................................... q.s. to 1 ml

(100 ml multidose vial)

Fluoroquinolone antibiotic

Indications

MARBOVITA® Injection is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by marbofloxacin-sensitive organisms in animals, including:

• Respiratory tract infections
  (Pasteurella spp., Mannheimia spp., E. coli)

• Urinary tract infections

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Gastrointestinal infections caused by susceptible Gram-negative bacteria

• Metritis and uterine infections

• Septicemia and bacteremia

Marbofloxacin provides rapid bactericidal activity with excellent tissue penetration.

Dosage and Administration

Routes: Intramuscular (IM) or Subcutaneous (SC)

Recommended dosage:

• Cattle, Camels, Horses:
  2 mg marbofloxacin/kg body weight
  (Equivalent to 1 ml per 50 kg BW)
  Once daily for 3–5 days

• Sheep & Goats:
  2 mg/kg body weight
  Once daily for 3–5 days

• Dogs & Cats:
  2–4 mg/kg body weight
  Once daily for 3–5 days

Dosage and duration should be based on severity of infection and veterinary judgment.

Cattle, camels, horses, sheep, goats, dogs, and cats

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to marbofloxacin or other fluoroquinolones

• Do not use in animals with known quinolone hypersensitivity

• Avoid use in growing animals where cartilage damage is a concern unless justified

• Not recommended for use in poultry

Precautions

• For veterinary use only

• Use under veterinary supervision

• Do not exceed recommended dose or duration

• Avoid concurrent use with other fluoroquinolones

• Use sterile injection technique

• Keep out of reach of children

Withdrawal Period

(Subject to national regulatory approval)

• Meat: Typically 3–6 days

• Milk: Typically 24–72 hours
  (Confirm exact withdrawal periods according to local regulations)

Storage

• Store below 25°C

• Protect from light

• Do not freeze

• Keep container tightly closed
