FLUCALM

COMPOSITION:

  • Each 1 ml contains:
    Flunixin meglumine – 50 mg


INDICATIONS:

Horses:

  • For the relief of inflammation and pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders.

  • For the alleviation of visceral pain associated with colic.

Cattle:

  • For the control of pyrexia associated with bovine respiratory disease, endotoxemia, and acute bovine mastitis.

  • For the control of inflammation in endotoxemia.


DOSAGE (for intramuscular injection):

Horses:

  • 1.5 ml per 100 kg body weight once daily for up to 5 days, according to clinical response.

Cattle:

  • 1.5 ml per 100 kg body weight.
    May be repeated at 24-hour intervals for up to 5 consecutive days, depending on clinical recovery.

Dogs and Cats:

  • 0.08 – 0.15 ml per 10 kg body weight once daily for up to 5 days.


CONTRAINDICATIONS AND SIDE EFFECTS:

  • Do not use in cases of:

    • Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to other NSAIDs or excipients.

    • Within 48 hours before expected parturition in cows.

    • Dehydrated, hypovolemic, or hypotensive animals.

  • Precautions:

    • In horses and cattle, rapid intravenous injection may cause anaphylactic shock (very rare).

    • The product must be injected slowly via intravenous route and kept at room temperature.

    • Treatment must be stopped immediately if adverse reactions occur, and shock treatment should be initiated if necessary.
